Ana Verayo + Ernest Concepcion
Super Duper Gallery is honored to present JUMBO featuring the collaborative and new artworks of Ana Verayo and Ernest Concepcion. This exhibition opened on August 13, 2023.
A lifetime ago we were unmoveable sentinels from our homes and dwellings. An isolating yet liberating state, almost free from mundane, insipid social interactions and faculties. Concepcion and Verayo now emerge between those lines, transmuting a state of stupor into quiet being, which spawned into a new home — a collaborative work space and show room in between the artists’ home studios.
I need sugar
I need a little water of sugar
I get thoughts about you
And the night wants me like a little lost child
Locked in the safe place
Looking out the window
The dark move fast past the window
The dark on the other side of the locked door
