The Shining Mantis is the Brooklyn based collaboration of Ernest Concepcion and Mike Estabrook. They are known for their epic battle drawings, called Kangarok!!! The Kangarok Epic is also called Kangarok 2020: The Revenge of Hoth, The Ice Mines of Urbana and the Frozen Yoga. It was done at the Krannert Art Museum, Kinkead Pavilion, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, 2011.
